Join us for our humorous and amazingly informational one-night, two-hour seminar that will help ANYONE to have a better dog. It will leave you laughing AND in better control of your pet. Find out how even your children can easily increase their authority – and all without using punishment!

Problem solving techniques are also introduced that will allow you to eliminate problems such as housebreaking, jumping on people, chewing, digging, and much more!

Please keep in mind that our seminars start promptly at the time indicated. We strongly advise that you arrive at least 15-20 minutes early to avoid the inevitable last minute crush at the door!

Dogs that are friendly towards people and other dogs are welcome to attend the seminar with you. Dogs are not required to attend - this will be lecture only, not an interactive class. If you choose to bring your pet, please be sure and provide quiet entertainment for them - this is a two hour seminar with a short intermission. Please refrain from bringing your pet if he or she is extremely vocal.

Agility Workshop - 1.5 hours

This class is taught by Kari Hammargren, our highly skilled instructor with many agility titles and championships on her personal dogs. Her fun personality and "easy to understand" teaching style have created a devout following of students. Whether you are just starting out or a competitor yourself, you will find a wealth of information in Kari's classes.

"Come When Called" Workshop - 1.5 hours

Do you want a super reliable recall? It is arguably the most important thing you can teach your dog! Not only will he or she be safer if you can call him away from a busy road, but you will both be able to enjoy being out more if he can chase balls or jump in the surf or run along a trail without a leash since you know you can call him back.

Since a super duper recall requires work and practice, this workshop provides the opportunity for both. It is ideal both for those that have not even started to teach their dog to come when called as well as those that are on the road to a completely reliable recall. This workshop can be taken once, or you can come again and again as you conquer higher and higher levels of distraction. Our cozy class size of only 4 dogs ensures that you will get the personal attention you need to get a great recall. "WALK ON LEASH NICELY" Workshop - 1.5 hours 

This workshop focuses on ending the frustration of your dog taking you for a walk. In this class we will work on being able to have a loose leash, even in highly distracting situations. Our cozy class size of only 4 dogs ensures that you will get the personal attention you need to stop that annoying pulling.

Since a hassle free walk requires work and practice, this one and a half hour workshop provides the opportunity for both. It is ideal both for those that have not even started to train their dog as well as those that are aiming for perfection. This workshop can be taken once, or you can come again and again as you conquer higher and higher levels of distraction. The workshop will feature a combination of instruction and practice exercises that are tailored to each participant's level of skill. Sign up and you will soon be able to stroll along while holding an open cup of coffee while you walk your dog.... and not end up wearing any of it!

"LEAVE-IT" Workshop - 1.5 hours

The "leave it" command has an unbelievable number of applications! You will be able to tell your dog to turn away from and ignore anything. We will start off with non-moving objects so you can apply the command to items such as a dropped piece of food, your child's toy, or the things they find on walks that are soooooo interesting to them but absolutely disgusting to us. Then we will progress to applying the command to moving objects. No more chasing the cat! If the ball or Frisbee takes the wrong direction with your dog in full pursuit, no problem. You can tell them to "leave it" in mid-stride.

Since a fool proof "leave it" command requires work and practice, this one and a half hour workshop provides the opportunity for both. It is ideal both for those that have not even started to train their dog as well as those that are aiming for perfection. "STOP JUMPING ON PEOPLE" Workshop 1.5hrs

This workshop will end the embarrassment of your dog leaving his or her paw prints on the chest of everyone you meet. Imagine the pleasure of knowing that your dog will automatically sit and wait patiently to be petted anytime someone approaches. Many dogs know that a certain word or hand signal means "sit". Well, we teach them that the approach of a person also means "sit" without anyone having to say anything!

Since an automatic response requires work and practice, this one and a half hour workshop provides the opportunity for both. It is ideal both for those that have not even started to train their dog as well as those dogs that already know a bunch of commands. This workshop can be taken once, or you can come again and again as you conquer higher and higher levels of distraction.  Small Dog Confidence Workshop - 1.25 hour

Whether you have a shrinking violet or a bluffing "tough guy", this 1.25 hour workshop will help build small dog confidence in a big dog world.  Activities include- training exercises that help build trust and self-esteem, fun games that build confidence and self-assurance, and the chance to meet hand picked larger dogs that are gentle and calm to help overcome that "little dog syndrome"

This workshop is designed so that it can be taken once for a confidence boost or socialization experience, or several times to build up the most timid of dogs! It is taught by our expert level staff with safety and success in mind. Come watch your dog blossom into an outgoing personality in any situation!

Adolescent Angst Workshop - 1.25 hour

Has your dog turned into the equivalent of a rebellious teenager? They know what you are asking them to do, they know how to do it, but they just refuse? Or they are suddenly just complying when they feel like it? It's a common phase for dogs to go through and we can help! This 1.25 hour workshop will show you how to quickly rebuild compliance and restore order so you no longer feel like throttling your dog.

This workshop can be taken once, or you can come again and again as you continue to build a better relationship. Our small class size ensures that you will get the personal attention you need and enables us to tailor instruction to each participant's level of skill.

 Leadership Workshop - 2 hours

 This two hour class will help owners create a solid positive clear leadership role with dogs that may be exhibiting challenging, mildly fearful, rude or pushy behavior.  Exercises are geared toward building a solid status foundation for the owner in a non-punishing manner. Ideal for those dogs that just need a little "attitude adjustment" as well as dogs that are being seen by our behavior professionals for more pronounced problems.

"Hush Puppy" Workshop - 2 hours

This workshop gives owners the tools to quiet, calm, and focus their dog in a group situation. No need to be embarrassed that your dog is the “noisy one” in class – they all are! (and then we fix that)  There will be NO squirt bottles, shaker cans, bark collars, or other punishment based techniques here. Just solid, effective behavior management skills that YOU can take with you... on the street or in a traditional group class.

This class is perfect if you've tried to take a group class before, only to find that you could not even hear the instructor over the din your dog was making. After taking this workshop you will be able to apply our non-punishment techniques to a variety of situations. It will be especially useful in order to "main stream" your dog into a group class - and NOT be the one everyone is glaring at! 

Make your dog's trip to the dog park safe, fun and enjoyable for both you and your dog!  Are you becoming weary of dog parks?  Beginning to worry about the interaction between your dog and the other dogs they encounter there?  Are you unsure of whether or not you're doing the right things at the dog park?  Join us for this two hour seminar on the basic "do's and don'ts" to enable you and your dog to have a safe, fun trip to the local park.   This lecture was designed to help anyone, whether you are a daily dog park participant or an owner who is still unsure and worried about visiting dog parks. We can help each type of participant to  be successful and safe, creating happy memories!  Topics discussed include: understanding your dog’s play style, knowing your dog’s limit, being aware of YOUR role as leader, etc.Space is limited so sign up now!

Cool Dog Tricks Workshop - 1 hour

Take a break from the manners and obedience and add a dash of fun! Trick training actually goes a long way towards improving training skills on the human end of the leash - without it seeming like work. Learn how to teach your dog tricks that will amaze your friends- like skateboarding or grabbing a soda from the fridge. Or tricks that will make your life easier - like wiping their feet on the doormat before coming inside or putting their own toys away. This class will expand your ability to think outside of the box while you engage, challenge, and bond with your dog.
