Puppy Services
Positive Approach is about all things puppy! We are puppy experts. We spend all day, every day working with people who are experiencing the joys and frustrations of owning a puppy. (Honestly, it’s our favorite part of the job!) It is our mission to make sure that every single puppy ends up being a wonderful adult dog.
At Positive Approach you have access to some of the most experienced trainers in the area. All of our instructors carry the title of Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT). (Individuals must meet strict experience criteria and pass a lengthy proctored exam to achieve this prestigious title.) Whether you have a little angel, or a little rascal, we have the instructors and services you need to make the most of that wonderful, but fleeting, puppyhood.
Below you will find an array of services aimed at socializing, training, and exercising your puppy. Not sure where to start?  | Puppy Workshops This comprehensive two-hour puppy workshop is your ticket to a bomb-proof puppy! It covers common problems such as housebreaking, mouthing (puppy biting), destructive behavior, attention getting techniques and how to control the hyper or rowdy puppy. This workshop will also include one of the most vital beginning steps for your puppy.... socialization! Your pup will get the opportunity to play and interact with other puppies during the course of the workshop while we give a running dialog on each puppy's behavior.  | Puppy Training Classes Our Household Manners Level I class is THE best place to teach your puppy practical behaviors for every day use. It establishes the behavioral tools you need to control your puppy in all situations. But beyond even that, the real advantage of Positive Approach is that we are the only program that focuses on the PROCESS of learning, so you will leave knowing how to train your puppy to do ANYTHING you want in the future!  | Puppy Play Pals This is a great service for puppies between 2 and 6 months of age that need socialization but are not ready for the dog park or daycare. (Puppies older than 6 months can still play - they just need an evaluation first.)
It is important for puppies to know how to play with more than just other puppies. Puppies in the wild learn through play ... so can yours! Puppies can learn a lot from dogs of all different types and age ranges. We will hand select puppy appropriate adults and adolescents who will be calm, patient and teach your puppy acceptable interaction with older dogs from the very small to the very large. We will also ensure they get good puppy time with specifically selected puppies that have already begun to learn good dog manners through play with all dogs.

Now you can have the undivided attention of these professionals to help you achieve your goals. Private lessons are just the ticket to IMMEDIATELY tackle any puppy issues. Sessions are personalized to fit your needs and schedule and can take place here or at your home. In fact an in-home lesson is ideal to help you with puppy-proofing or solving confinement issues.
