Puppy Pals Play Time

Your puppy will be pleasantly exhausted after this 30 minute period of rompin' good play time. Puppies in the wild learn through play ... so can yours! We will hand select "puppy appropriate" adult and adolescent dogs who will be excellent "teachers" for your puppy. We will also ensure they get plenty of play time with specifically selected puppies that have already begun to learn good dog manners through play with all dogs. No prior evaluation is needed for puppies between 2 and 6 months of age, just pick an appointment time and come on down for some fun. (Puppies over 6 months will need to go through an "Initial Evaluation" first.) Appointments are geared to take place between 10am and 3pm, Mon. through Fri. so that the other dogs used for the play sessions are at their best! If this time frame does not work for you, give us a call.

Proof of at least one Distemper/Parvo vaccine and a negative fecal exam must be provided at the session. (A prior dose of "worming" medication is NOT sufficient. A negative test result is required.)

Puppy Pals Initial Evaluation for puppies over 6 months of age:

If your puppy is over 6 months old, he or she is still a puppy... but their attitude towards other dogs is starting to change. Puppies learn a lot through play. And while your puppy IS still just playing, he or she is starting to be more serious about the information gathered during this type of contact. This 30 minute play session is designed to assess your puppy's play to determine if Play Pals is still the best place to start or if any type of attitude adjustment is needed through our other play based services. (See the Special Needs service section for more info on this.)
