Household Manners - Simple Steps Dog and Puppy Training Class

This class will teach you 3 Simple Steps that will allow you to train your dog or puppy to do ANYTHING you want! Also in this class, your dog or puppy will learn the practical behaviors they need to be a polite, well behaved pet all day, every day. You will soon be able to control your dog in all situations! In addition to learning how to sit, lie down, and stay, we also teach a "leave it" command so the coffee table is a safe place to leave your sandwich, and an "easy" command to eliminate pulling on leash. Your dog will learn how to automatically sit when approached by a friend instead of jumping on them, "wait" at the front door instead of barging out, "come" even in distracting surroundings, and much more. But the real advantage of Positive Approach is that we are the only program that focuses on the PROCESS of learning, so you will leave knowing how to train your dog to do ANYTHING you want in the future. Enrollment includes: 9 hours of class instruction (including the 2-hour Well Mannered Dog seminar), two training manuals, weekly instruction handouts, and a small class size of 10 dogs or less, with 2 instructors per class.

Now available - A Year of Unlimited Drop-in Follow-up Help! After graduating, you can continue to keep your dog or puppy socialized and having fun for the next year! This option is perfect for young puppies that currently have the attention span of a gnat. As they grow and mature, you can continue to challenge them by dropping in on more classes. Or if you have kids, this option is perfect for them to take a turn at being the "main handler" in class. This option is also fantastic for adult dogs that are shy, timid, or highly distractible. By continuing to drop in on classes even after they have graduated, you can continually raise the bar on their performance level. (Purchase of this option allows you and your dog to drop in and repeat individual lessons in random order on a space available basis for one year following graduation from your registered course. The cost of this option is only $39 when purchased along with class.)

The first class is a two-hour lecture for all dogs. For the rest of the course, dogs will be split into one of two class times, according to age. This lecture is aimed at humans. Quiet dogs are welcome and encouraged to attend the first-night seminar. Dogs with more to say will do better to wait until the next lesson.
