Below is a list of the supplies you will need to bring with you to class.

· Training Treats - We have found it works best to bring at least three different high value (as in the dog will turn cartwheels for them!) treats to class. This allows you to keep changing the reward which keeps the dog interested for a longer period. Be sure any treats you bring are either smaller than your little fingernail, are pre-cut to that size, or are easily torn to produce that size. Bring at least 100 small treats to each class.
· A training pouch which allows easy access to your dog's rewards. We like the type that clip to your pocket or belt.
· Pacifiers - It is extremely helpful to have several items with which to keep your dog busy and entertained during those portions of class that are spent “listening” instead of “doing”. The idea is to keep your dog happily occupied and not barking or becoming excitable.
· A 6-foot leash - This should be made of leather, cotton, or nylon. No rope, chain, or retractable leashes in class, please. Even very small dogs will still need a 6-foot length.
· A regular quick-snap or buckle collar - this should be loose enough to get fingers underneath, but you should not be able to pull the collar over your dog's head. No "choke" or "prong" style collars in class, please. (It is fine if you use a halter for your dog. Just be aware that there is much less control with the design wherein the leash attaches to a ring on the back of the dog. We recommend the type/brands that attach to a ring on the chest of the dog.)
· A comfortable mat which will accommodate the body size of your dog - it is ideal to use a mat with which your dog is not already familiar. We will be using the mat in class to produce an “automatic settle” area.
· A plastic baggie with which to clean up any messes on the way to class.
