Web Cam IE 6.0 Settings

Sometimes the default security settings in Internet Explorer need a little 'tweaking' to perform properly with our camera system. The following will help you get the settings correct.

First, open IE then click on 'Tools' on the menu bar, the click 'Internet Options' (see image below)

IE help 1

This will bring up the following window

IE help 2

Click the 'Security' tab then click the 'Custom Level' at the bottom of the window. The following list of radio buttons should then pop up.

The following images will show you how the settings should be set. Scroll down through the list making the appropriate changes.

When you have made your changes click the 'OK' button on all the windows so your changes will be saved.

If at any point you are prompted for a user id and password, use either 'guest' for both items or 'demo' for the user id with the password left blank.

When you reload the camera page you should be prompted to download the ActiveX control from DLink. Answer all prompts either 'yes' or 'ok' and after a couple of short downloads you should be viewing your favorite pup!
