Behavior Services OverviewDo you have some concerns about your dog's behavior?
Individual Behavior Counseling Positive Approach offers Individual Behavior Counseling for dogs, cats, and birds. Behavior counseling is tailored for animals with fairly pronounced problems such as separation anxiety, acting aggressively towards people or other dogs, fighting, pronounced fear, possessive issues, chronic house breaking problems or litter box problems to name a few. The counseling process involves filling out a detailed history questionnaire from which the consultant will begin to devise a corrective program. We then meet with you and your pet either at our office or your home. Please visit the Individual Behavior Counseling page for more information. To learn more about our Behavior Staff please visit our Behavioral Counseling Staff Page. Special Needs Dog Services "Special Needs" Dogs are those that are not considered to have a severe problem but they could use some help to be able to get the most out of life. They might be lacking in confidence and are therefore shy or timid around people or other dogs or when they are in new situations. Or perhaps the opposite is true and they tend to be a bit of a bully when playing with friends. Or they might do well in very small groups of dogs but either fall apart or get defensive when at the dog park or doggie daycare. Whatever the case may be we have remarkable success in dealing with these types of dogs. Positive Approach is the ONLY facility in the area that offers the ability to create a group situation specifically tailored to your dog. Please visit the "Special Needs" Dog Services page for more information on this extraordinary service. ![]() |
